Some important reminders...

1. Please do not be late for the game – even 5 mins late incurs a HK$400 penalty and a 1 point fine for your team.
2. Before the game – please print AND sign on the umpires register at the desk duty desk
3. After the game – please print AND sign at the bottom of the scoresheet (also a good idea to note the team you are umpiring on behalf of).
4. Please try to wear a white shirt whilst umpiring
5. PLEASE READ THE HKNA BY LAWS

If you need an umpire for this Monday or going forward, I’ll leave it up to you in the first instance to check the draw and see which other Aust Assoc team is playing at the same venue as your game and may have an umpire available. 

Please see attached the list of available and qualified umpires in the Australian Association Netball Club.

If you have no luck then the team will have to pay an umpire to umpire on their behalf.

The HKNA recommends the following rates of payment per game:

• $200 for A badge
• $150 for B badge
• $100 for C badge
• $50 for D Badge

We really appreciate the efforts of those who have become a qualified umpire and also appreciate in advance your umpiring efforts for the upcoming season for both your team and potentially helping out other teams when the need arises.

Umpires play an integral part for the game of netball and in Hong Kong. 

It is recommended that all players attend the umpiring course. Especially the new players who are returning to netball after a few years break. It is a great way to learn the rules again and to be safe on the court.

The Australian Association of Hong Kong Netball will be arranging our own umpiring session. Watch this Space.
