Captains & Vice Captains for the 2009-2010 Season

 

As Captains of your Australian Association Neball team you have repsonisbilities not only to your team, but to your club and the HKNA.

Your Team Responsibility

  • Disseminate all information from your coach, convenor, club and the HKNA via email to the players.
  • Email the match schedule and umpiring schedule to all players.
  • Email your players telling them the next games time, date and venue.
  • Check avilablity of players. Notify HKNA of any forfeit at least 48 hours before you are sheduled to play.
  • Organise umpires for the designated games and prepare a roster.
  • Encourage your players to do the umpiring course at the begining of the season
  • Bring bibs, ball and first aid kit to every game.
  • Ensure nails are short and jewellery is not worn for games and training.
  • Email training dates, times and venues to your players and request numebrs for attendance.
  • Confirm numbers for training with the coach.
  • Ensure your team's desk duty is covered.Ensure the team members all have the correct uniform.
  • Make sure a whistle and rule book stay in the kit bag each week for umpiring purposes.
  • Ensure your team warms up and warms down at all games and trainings.

Your Club Responsibility

  • Write a team report each week, giving the results and email it to Lily Hui on lily.hui@cliffordchance.com
  • When sending in the weekly match reports, please remember to list who umpired for you each week so that Joanne O'Connor netball@ozhongkong.com can keep accurate records
  • Advise the Australian Association of Kong Kong weekly:
      1. Player of the Match
      2. Most Improved Player
  • Represent your team and attend the Captains meetings during the season.

Your HKNA Responsibility

  • Become familiar with HKNA by-laws: including foriet rules, membership and guest player procedures.
  • If forfeiting a match, inform not only the league convenor and opposing team captain, but also please remember to inform the teams who are supposed to umpire your game so they don't send umpires along.
  • Represent all your team at all HKNA "required attendence" meetings e.g AGM.
